Design with character: smart MESSERSCHMITT technology for the Okto Hotel Kabakum, Bulgaria
In Bulgaria, a hotel is currently being established which sets new standards when it comes to striking design and well-conceived guest comfort. It is scheduled to open in 2026, but the technical concept has already been determined: MESSERSCHMITT Systems provides tailored solutions for room control and access which coordinate functionality, brand identity and interior design perfectly. The individually produced luxury line panels with their elegant octopus motif – the central design element of the hotel – is a special eye-catcher.
Technology that adapts
For the 142 rooms, MESSERSCHMITT is developing a tailored access and room control system which includes, lighting, air-conditioning and curtain controls. One highlight is the champagne-colored luxury line panels. These were produced specially in the corporate design of the hotel and feature the distinctive logo of the brand – a stylized octopus.
One system, many possibilities
The solution is based on the new controller system with BACnet connection for controlling HVAC systems and supports all room functions from one unique panel. The proximity sensor means that the backlighting of the panel adapts automatically – for maximum ease of use without disturbing a good night’s sleep. The system can also be controlled via a web-based app which was developed by our long-standing partner Eurodesign.
Flexible and scalable
With 15 different room layouts, it’s clear to see that the MESSERSCHMITT solutions are not just powerful, but also extremely adaptable. In this way, 5,900 components come together to form a smart system which combines technology, comfort and aesthetics.
