As a future-oriented tech-company, we at Messerschmitt particularly strive to organise our corporate actions in a responsible and eco-friendly manner. So, what exactly does that mean?


Innovations with a good cause

We develop new products with sustainability and environmental protection always in mind. This has been true already decades ago, when we introduced power saving energy control systems.

And it is also true with our latest product launch: O-Key – the safe and organic keycard – is made in Europe, from sustainably forested Ginkgo wood. It is biodegradable and printed by means of the eco-friendly IMPRIM’VERT process. Additionally, the material is antibacterial and therefore contributes effectively to the hygiene concept of your hotel.

Quality meets sustainability

Durability is a key feature of our products. We put great effort into developing and manufacturing access and room management systems with longest possible life cycles. It entails that we keep spare parts available for particularly long times. Up to 20 years, to be exact.

A huge logistic effort, which we are happy to shoulder as a contribution to resource protection. Just like the corresponding support for our customers, who therefore can invest in high-quality, eco-friendly products and put their trust in durable profitability.


Down with the carbon footprint

Our production is and remains in Germany. This not only enables us to guarantee highest quality standards. We can also keep transport routes short and, thus, our carbon footprint as low as possible.

In addition, we have been shifting our supplier base more and more form Asia to Germany resp. Europe, which helps us further reducing transport routes and emissions.


Make room for new ideas

We have already been able to make quite some accomplishments within our company and within hotel business. But we’re not done yet. There are always new ways to discover, better solutions to unveil.
