Our minibar is a product which is based on the latest electronics in connection with peltier technology. Peltier elements are based on an effect, which was discovered by the french physicist Peltier in 1834. It occurs when a current is passed through two dissimilar metals or semiconductors that are connected to each other at two junctions (Peltier junctions). The current drives a transfer of heat from one junction to the other: one junction cools off while the other heats up; as a result, this effect is used for thermoelectronic cooling.
The advantages over conventional temperature units:
in contrast to conventional refrigerators the Peltier cooling does not possess mobile parts (common Minibars are controlled by ”ON” and “OFF” switching, Peltier technic can be regulated very
precisely (the necessary additional energy input while constantly switching on the minibar is not required)
no use of coolant (no leakage of ammonia gas possible unlike absorbing minibars)
by the direct transformation of electrical in cooling energy, a better utilization of energy is possible
(consumption value from 0,4 to 0,75kWh/Day (depends on litres volume) are attainable)
the interior temperature inside the minibar is precisely hold by an intelligent controller (no defrosting with ice accretion, because of the large cooling surface, the temperature never falls under 0°C, thus no ice),the
additional cooling after each defrosting is not applicable, unlike common Minibars with 1-2 times a day.
